A SHOPLIFTER with a ‘flagrant disregard for individuals or their property’ has been jailed after stealing fragrance testers from Boots.
Daryl Cobain, of Princes Avenue, Northwich, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on September 30 the place he pleaded responsible to theft from a store.
The 46-year-old entered the well being care store department in Witton Street on September 9 and made from with £140 price of fragrance testers.
Taking his responsible plea under consideration, magistrates jailed Cobain for 10 weeks.
The courtroom heard a custodial sentence was imposed as a result of defendant having ‘a flagrant disregard for courtroom orders, individuals and their property’.
Cobain was additionally ordered to pay £140 in compensation. No order was made for prices because the compensation is taking precedence.
