Yesterday (15 December 2022), marked the ‘making obtainable in the marketplace’ deadline for items containing lilial, also referred to as butylphenyl methylpropional (BMHCA).

The BMHCA ban has been in force in the EU and Northern Ireland since 1 March 2022, with the legislative course of for BMHCA starting earlier than the UK left the EU.
