Source of inspiration: the Harkness Hamilton Princess Rose (Photograph provided)Two of Bermuda’s iconic and historic manufacturers have come collectively to create a brand new perfume, Island Rose.The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has collaborated with grasp perfumer Isabelle Ramsay-Brackstone of Lili Bermuda of their quest to create a perfume that displays the legacy of a lodge property that has developed by means of greater than a century of Bermuda’s tourism iterations.The Harkness Hamilton Princess Rose, which blooms across the harbour entrance property, was the supply of inspiration in creating the brand new perfume.Mrs Ramsay-Brackstone mentioned she was entranced by the perfume of the rose, which she describes as “highly effective, fairly citrusy, with a splash of raspberry fruit, and likewise capturing the scent of the wind getting into Hamilton Harbour”.She added: “We needed the rose to mirror nuances, colors and textures of Bermuda and to be true to the Harkness Rose which adorned the gardens of the lodge.”Mrs Ramsay-Brackstone depicts the perfume as “an ethereal rose – fruity, however not candy, recent and effervescent, with a stunning iris and woody dry down.“Island Rose is a perfume which displays the prosperous and mystical persona that’s Bermuda.”The perfume debuts this week, and is on the market at Lili Bermuda Boutique in St George, at Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s Pink Cabana retailer, the National Museum of Bermuda, the 59 Front retailer and on-line at www.lilibermuda.com.Island Rose: new perfume debuts this week (Photograph provided)Island Rose: new perfume debuts this week (Photograph provided)
