It was the primary time SIUE has blanked an opponent in back-to-back video games since 2018 and the primary time SIUE has swept with a pair of shutouts towards Ohio Valley Conference opponent (Austin Peay) since 2017.
• The Cougars allowed only one run within the three-game set towards Tennessee State, making it the fewest runs allowed in a three-game OVC collection.
• Grace Lueke hit her team-leading eighth house run of the season Saturday. The first-inning homer was the one run in a 1-0 victory over Tennessee State.
• Freshman Lauryn Yslava leads the workforce in hitting with a .351 batting common.
• The SIUE pitching workers has unfold across the victories. Mia Haynes leads the workforce with 5 whereas Lexi King and Sydney Baalman each have 4. All three had wins within the weekend collection towards Tennessee State.
• Haynes is among the many OVC’s leaders in strikeouts with 77.
• King is second in hitting with a .333 batting common. She additionally leads the Cougars in at bats (105), runs scored (19), hits (35), doubles (7), sacrifice flies (3) and stolen bases (7).
• SIUE Interim Head Coach P.J. Finigan is in his first season with the Cougars.
