LOS ANGELES (CNS) — “Black Widow,” “No Time to Die,” “Cruella,” “Dune” and “House of Gucci” are among the films up for awards Saturday night on the ninth annual Makeup Artists & Hair Stylist Guild Awards.
The awards cowl an array of movie, tv and theater classes, recognizing achievement in modern and interval productions.
They can be offered on the Beverly Hilton. A red-carpet pre-show with host Frankie Grande begins at 6 p.m., and the award shows start at 7 p.m. The present can be live-streamed on YouTube and Vimeo.
“Black Widow” and “No Time to Die” had been each nominated for finest modern make-up in a feature-length movie, together with “Coming 2 America,” “Don’t Look Up” and “The Suicide Squad.”
For interval and/or character make-up, nominations went to “Being the Ricardos,” “Cruella,” “Dune,” “House of Gucci” and “The Eyes of Tammy Faye.”
Best modern hairstyling nominations went to “Coming 2 America,” “In the Heights,” “No Time to Die,” “The Matrix Resurrections” and “The Suicide Squad.”
During the ceremony, lifetime achievement awards can be offered to Michele Burke, an Oscar- and Emmy-winning make-up artist who labored on films together with the “Mission: Impossible” and the “Austin Powers” films, and Joy Zapata, an Emmy-winning hairstylist recognized for her work on “A Star is Born,” “Wonder Woman 1984” and “Star Trek: Nemesis.”
