Why have been the products recalled?
On December 20, the firm launched an announcement revealing that they detected benzene of their products and issued the recall out of an abundance of warning.
Benzene is a chemical that has been linked to some cancers following long-term publicity, in response to the Department of Health and Human Services.
“Following latest stories that indicated traces of benzene in some aerosol spray products, we started a evaluate of our complete portfolio of aerosol products,” the firm mentioned in an announcement to Newsweek.
“While benzene shouldn’t be an ingredient in any of our products, our evaluate confirmed that surprising ranges of benzene got here from the propellant that sprays the product out of the can.
“We detected benzene in aerosol dry shampoo spray products and aerosol dry conditioner spray products. Nothing is extra vital to us than the security of the shoppers who use our products and the high quality of the products we ship,” the firm added.
“In mild of those findings, and out of an abundance of warning, we’ve issued a voluntary recall at the client stage of aerosol dry shampoo sprays and aerosol dry conditioner sprays from Pantene, Herbal Essences, Aussie and Waterlhttps://www.thesun.co.uk/information/17100016/haircare-products-procter-gamble-recall-list/
