Tracee Ellis Ross says ‘Girlfriends’ inspired her haircare line.

The 48-year-old actress – who starred as Joan Clayton on the sitcom from 2000 to 2008 – struggled to seek out the appropriate merchandise for her curls for years and realised she wasn’t alone when she joined the solid of the favored present.
Speaking on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, she mentioned: “It began out for me as a result of I could not discover merchandise and wasn’t seeing my pure magnificence mirrored again to me on the earth. Then once I obtained on ‘Girlfriends’, I realised that I used to be not the one one. Tracee launched Pattern Beauty, in 2019 with shampoos, conditioners, gels, lotions, instruments, and extra.
And although the ‘The High Note’ star has since realized to like her tresses, she just isn’t but able to embrace her greys.
She defined: “My hair has performed many a task all through my life. When I used to be a teen, I did not perceive it so I attempted all the pieces below the solar to make it do what I assumed it ought to. The outcomes weren’t nice. Namely, it was fried. But, as soon as I started listening to my hair and began determining what it preferred, my true curl sample emerged. By the time I made it onto ‘Girlfriends’ my hair was wholesome and POPPIN. But as I’ve grown and matured my texture has developed.
“My hair is now turning gray (proof of my life and my years). And whereas the gray has modified my texture and the dye I take advantage of to cowl it has loosened my sample, I lastly know my hair in and out. I do know what she likes, what she does not like, and the way she’ll react in any given scenario. And whereas I’m not able to embrace the gray simply but, I’m positive that shall be thrilling once I do! (sic)”
