Current political makeup of Wiltshire Council

In little over weeks voters throughout England are set to have their voices heard within the May native elections.

Nearly 250 candidates will struggle over the 98 seats up for grabs with the present majority celebration (Conservatives) fielding candidates in each ward.

Those candidates characterize six distinctive political events: Conservatives, Labour, Labour & Co-operative, Liberal Democrats, the Greens celebration, UKIP and the For Britain Movement.

As it stands there are additionally 31 impartial candidates working for unitary positions – in some areas comparable to Melksham East, independents are working towards each other.

In the present makeup of the council, the Conservative celebration holds a majority (62) seats.

Currently the make-up of the council is:

62 Conservatives

21 Liberal Democrats

11 Independent

3 Labour

1 vacant seat (By-brook which was beforehand held by Baroness Jane Scott of the Conservative celebration)
